The City of Grenada schools are governed by the Grenada School District. Our schools are rated excellence in academics and have a successful athletic program. The GSD rated "B" High Performing for the past two years. Visit the School District's website at www.gds.k12.ms.us for more information.

The Holmes Community College Grenada Campus is located on approximately 14 acres near picturesque Grenada Lake and is positioned on I-55 between Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi. The center has been fully operational since 1985 and affords opportunities for academic and cultural enrichment and vocational expansion to meet the demands of the surrounding area.

The Grenada Campus offers technical programs, academic courses and workforce training. The campus further serves as a meeting place for a variety of educational type workshops, seminars and conferences. The Grenada Campus houses the Corey Forum with a seating capacity of over five hundred.

Since 2008, the Grenada Campus has partnered with the University of Mississippi Division of Outreach to offer selected undergraduate and graduate degree programs onsite with plans for future expansion.

The University of Mississippi seeks to compliment the mission of area community colleges by offering junior and senior-level courses necessary to complete a 4-year degree at the UM-Grenada Center site.  Most of the classes are taught in the evenings / night by UM faculty, but some day classes and a variety of online courses are available.   

We offer 4 undergraduate programs and 2 graduate degree programs at our Grenada center.  We also offer additional undergrad and grad programs that can be completed 100% online.

For over 30 years, the Holmes Community College Grenada Campus has been providing opportunities for academic and career technical education to meet the demands of the community.

Since 2008, Holmes-Grenada has partnered with the University of Mississippi to offer selected undergraduate and graduate degree programs onsite at its Grenada Campus. Together, they have provided the 2 plus 2 programs that ensure academic coursework you earn toward your Holmes associate's degree plugs right into a UM bachelor's degree completion program. Holmes Community College offers the first two years of the college academic program, and Ole Miss provides the third and fourth years, all at the Grenada Campus. This partnership guarantees a seamless transition and allows you to stay on track for graduation.
